Seven Steps to Flatten Your Classroom

Session description
This hands on session will encourage participants to model 'flat classroom' learning through
exploration of the seven steps used for the award winning flat classroom projects. These are:
Connect, Communicate, Citizenship, Contribute, Collaborate, Create, Celebrate. Focus will be on using Web 2.0 tools to scaffold curriculum architecture, particularly project-based learning and global collaboration. Amongst other objectives, participants will have an opportunity to work within an asynchronous learning environment using tools for educational networking and collaboration as well as a synchronous virtual classroom using Elluminate. The session will be flattened further through interaction with virtual participants from around the world. This is a BYOL session. (Bring Your Own Laptop).
